Under the presidentship of H.G. Alexios Mar Eusebius Metropolitan and Rev. Fr. Gemcy Eappen (Vice- President), the Sunday School Association of Calcutta Diocese plays an important role in spiritual nurturing of the children, by bringing them up in the knowledge and fellowship of Jesus Christ and His Church.  The Diocese has 30 registered Sunday School units under OSSAE-OKR, including 4 units from the Kuwait Sub-Region, serving around 2000 students through the dedicated efforts of 200 teachers and 30 Headmasters/Headmistresses.

Key activities include the Annual General Body Meeting, Sunday School Day celebrations, Charity Day, and Half-Yearly and Annual Examinations (with Class X and XII exams conducted centrally by the Diocese). The Association also organizes Teachers’ Special Exams, Diocese and Inter-Diocese Talent Competitions, Orthodox Vacation Bible School (OVBS), Class XII Convocation, and Teaching Orientation Programs. Through these initiatives, the Sunday School Association continues to build a strong foundation of faith, learning, and service for the next generation of believers.
