Jeevan Jyoti

Jeevan Jyothi is a community-driven education initiative with a simple but powerful goal that ‘No child should be left out of education’. It is run in Kailash Nagar, Bhilai. Jeevan Jyothi focuses on providing foundational education to children aged 3 to 10 years from low-income and marginalized communities.

These areas often face poor educational indicators due to poverty, lack of awareness, and limited access to early learning opportunities. To bridge this gap, we established the Balwadi and now it is supporting 20–25 children. This center offer a safe, nurturing environment where children are introduced to learning through oral and informal teaching, storytelling, puzzles, games, and physical activities.

Every child enrolled receives free education, nutritious breakfast, basic health care, learning materials, and personal guidance from trained local teachers, Sisters from St. Thomas Convent and seminary aspirants.

Our Mission
To ensure that every child, regardless of their background, gets a fair start in life through education, care, and nourishment.

Our Objectives
Our objectives are to provide basic education in rural and underserved communities, promote early learning and school readiness, improve child health and combat malnutrition, empower parents through increased awareness and involvement, and create employment opportunities for local women by engaging them as educators and caregivers.

At Jeevan Jyothi, we believe education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. By investing in children at an early age, we are laying the foundation for a brighter and more equitable future.
