H.G. Alexios Mar Eusebius Metropolitan Visits Renowned Social Activist Daya Bai in Harrai
Harrai, Madhya Pradesh : H.G. Alexios Mar Eusebius Metropolitan visited Daya Bai, the well‑known social activist who left her home at the age of 16 to become a nun and later gave up to work for the tribal population in the midlands of India. For the last fifty years, she has been living in Harrai, a remote tribal village in Madhya Pradesh, dedicating her life to advocating for the legal rights and welfare of the indigenous people.
Thirumeni was accompanied by Fr. Jobby Peter, Fr. John Mathew, Fr. Yuhanon John, Br. Jibin, and Mr. Markose. They together witnessed Daya Bai’s tireless efforts in uplifting tribal communities through education, legal aid, and empowerment initiatives.
