Guidance Centre, Raipur

The Guidance Centre, Raipur is under the St. Thomas Mission, Bhilai. This centre is established with the aim of supporting patients and their bystanders who travel from various parts of the country to seek medical treatment at AIIMS, Raipur.

The Centre currently features a chapel, which provides a peaceful space for prayer, reflection, and spiritual strength for those enduring medical hardships. The presence of this sacred space helps bring comfort and reassurance to patients and their families.

Construction work is actively ongoing, with a vision to expand the Centre’s facilities to include:

  • Residential quarters for the priest
  • Guest rooms for patients and bystanders
  • Conference rooms
  • A dedicated counselling room
  • Additional accommodation facilities

These additions will help transform the Guidance Centre into a fully functional support and resource hub, especially for those who come from rural and underprivileged backgrounds.

The Centre will also assist patients by facilitating both immediate and scheduled appointments with specialized doctors. A guidance program is being developed to ensure that patients are supported not just medically, but emotionally and spiritually as well.

This meaningful mission is made possible through the generous support of the St. Gregorios Orthodox Maha Edavaka, Kuwait, the major sponsor of the construction work. Their commitment to service and dedication to the Church’s mission have significantly strengthened our efforts in Raipur, bringing this project closer to reality.

Through prayer, service, and active engagement, the Guidance Centre aspires to be more than just a building it aims to be a place of compassion, clarity, and community for all who seek healing.
