Bhilai: St. Thomas College hosted science exhibition to mark National Science Day. Mr. A. V. Manoj, General Manager (EM & Project) of Bhilai Steel Plant emphasized the importance of practical scientific understanding.Β On the occasion of National Science Day, inter school and inter college science exhibition and Power Point Presentation competition was organized at St. Thomas College. At the college level, K. Khushi Tiwari of Digvijay College, Rajnandgaon got the first prize in the PPT presentation competition. Umang Sahu and Armaan Mittal from R.S.R. College got the second prize. While Y. Jayendra and Gajadhar Sahu of Shankaracharya Professional University got the third prize. In the college level model Presentation, Tejasvi Sarva and Abhilash Chandrakar, MSc Botany, St. Thomas College and Suman Sahu, Deepti, Dhalendra and Neetu of Government College Nikum were on the first position. On the third position were Liman Sonwani and Avinash Kaur, BSc Final, St. Thomas College.Β The event saw a large turnout of faculty, students, and dignitaries, including Rev. Fr. Dr. P. S. Varghese (Administrator), Dr. M.G. Roymon (Principal), Dr. Debjani Mukherjee (Dean) Dr. James Mathew (Vice- Principal) and Dr. Chanda Verma (Program Coordinator).
