Panjim (Goa): On January 18, 2025, H. G. Alexios Mar Eusebius Metropolitan celebrated Holy Qurbana at St. Mary’s Orthodox Church Panjim, Goa. His Grace also offered incense & prayers at the tomb of Blessed Alvares Mar Yulios, who lived a saintly life and died like a martyr for the Church. His Grace reflected on the martyr-like life and unwavering dedication of Blessed Alvares Mar Yulios, who embraced the Orthodox faith while serving as a Catholic priest. His transformative journey from Catholicism to Orthodoxy was marked by a deep conviction in the faith. Mar Alvares was consecrated as the bishop of Ceylon and the southern parts of India by St. Gregorios of Parumala and the Holy Synod of the time.
